  1. I just learned about the fire from reading your blog. I am very sad to learn of the destruction of DeeDee's kennel, but relieved to know that Lucy and all the other dogs made it (except the one retired dog? Did anyone find it?) Is Lucy going to be okay at her new home? I'm worried about her. So much change for her . . . I realize that the heartbreaking loss of property to some of the residents of Willow is worse than the re-homing of one dog, but I love Lucy and want to make sure she will be okay. If not, Liz, I would be willing to take her back and care for her for you. It sounds as though you will not be able to see much of her in the future, what with veterinary school starting soon up in Fairbanks. And I imaging it will take many months before DeeDee can take her back. PLEASE e-mail me when you can about this. I am sick with worry.
